Preparing for laser hair removal
To ensure the best results from your laser hair removal treatment, please follow these guidelines:
- 4–6 weeks before: Avoid waxing, plucking, threading, or using depilatory creams. Shaving is permitted.
- 2–4 weeks before: Avoid excessive sun exposure and sunbeds. Use SPF 30–50 on exposed areas and avoid fake tan.
- 24-48 hours before: Shave the treatment area (unless advised otherwise) and avoid fake tan.
- On the day: Arrive with clean skin free from makeup, deodorants, lotions, or creams. Wear loose, comfortable clothing. Inform your practitioner of any new medications.
After your laser hair removal treatment, expect some redness and mild swelling for the first 24–48 hours, which is normal. Apply a cool compress or aloe vera gel to soothe the area.
